During its meeting with investors today, Nintendo outlined details of its upcoming My Nintendo loyalty program.
According to translations by Cheesemeister3k the program’s first goal is to reach 100 million users. Nintendo hopes to reach that goal by rolling the My Nintendo program out in 39 countries.
Nintendo said points are accumulated through smart devices or game consoles. From there, the points, which come in both platinum and gold varieties, can be used for a variety of rewards like discount coupons or in exchange for “original goods.”
A rough Google translation of the Nintendo slides accompanying the presentation says the platinum and gold points are for “fun and for deals,” respectively. In other words, platinum points will go toward the old-style Club Nintendo rewards, while gold points will be for savings and special deals.
